The 2022 MLB Draft begins Sunday with the first round and continues Monday and Tuesday. Several New Jersey high school players could hear their name called during the three-day event. Included among the state’s top high school prospects are Caden Dana of Don Bosco Prep, Jackson Memorial’s Zach Crotchfelt, Max Martin of Moorestown and Passaic Tech’s Nazier Mule.

In the history of the Major League Baseball Draft, close to 600 high school players from New Jersey have had their childhood dreams come true.

There’s nothing better than having all the years of hard work and dedication come together. Whether it be in the first round or near the bottom, or anywhere in between, getting that call and finding out you’ve been drafted is a baseball experience very few get to enjoy.
