City leaders in Princeton, N.J., are moving forward with previously stalled plans for a solar project on an old municipal landfill.

Princeton Planning Director Lee Solow isn’t sure how old the capped municipal landfill is or when it was opened, but says it has been closed for about 15 years.

The weather got warm enough to melt the snow. Now it’ll get cold enough to turn it back into ice.

The National Weather Service has issued two alerts, saying temperatures rose above the freezing mark throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, resulting in a fair amount of snowmelt.

Residual water, however, will freeze as temperatures fall into the 10 to 20 degree range Sunday night and Monday morning.
