A pedestrian was fatally struck by a commuter train at the Princeton Junction station late Friday, transit officials said.
The NJ Transit Northeast Corridor train was traveling from Penn Station New York to Trenton when it struck the pedestrian shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to a statement from the agency.
“No injuries were reported to the customers or the crew on board. Currently, Northeast Corridor service is suspended in both directions,” NJ Transit said around 8 p.m.
Amtrak police were leading the investigation with assistance from NJ Transit police.
