The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.) is becoming a pipeline for Greg Schiano and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Four-star offensive tackle and former No. 1 player in the NJ.com Top 50, Jacob Allen is already on campus prepping for his freshman debut. Schiano also earned a pledge from explosive Hun tight end Logan Blake on Thursday, and offered his teammate – 2023 defensive lineman Dante Barone – the same day. Barone is 6-3, 270 pounds, has a six-foot-eight-inch wingspan, and is being offered as a h-back-slash-fullback-slash-tight end.
“I’d been talking to the staff for a little while to see how I would fit into the program and after some great talks over the phone we decided it was best for me to get back on campus,” said Barone, who began his high school career at Manalapan. “I got to see the campus and facilities with some of the coaches with just my dad and I instead of a bunch of recruits which definitely helped. Then we watched some film with coach Nunz(io Campanile) about my role as a h-back. Finally, I had a great conversation with coach Schiano and walked out with the offer.”
